Aigentic is a foundational plugin that transforms any WooCommerce store into an “Agent-Ready” platform. By integrating directly with Google Gemini, it generates specialized product summaries designed for AI Shopping Agents (like ChatGPT Search and Google SGE). It enriches the standard WooCommerce schema to ensure your products are accurately indexed and recommended by modern AI bots.

Installation & Setup Guide

Step 1: Install the Plugin

• Option A (Upload): Download the .zip file. Go to your WordPress Admin > Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Select the file and click Install Now.

• Option B (FTP): Unzip the file and upload the aigentic folder directly to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

Step 2: Activate

• Go to the Plugins screen in WordPress.

• Find Aigentic – AI Manifest & Bot Optimizer in the list and click Activate.

Step 3: Connect Google Gemini

• After activation, look for the new “Aigentic AI” menu item in your left sidebar.

• Enter your Google Gemini API Key in the settings field.

• Click “Save & Test” to verify the connection.

Step 4: Verify Your AI Manifest

• Once connected, your store automatically generates a specialized AI catalog.

• You can view it live at: https://your-domain.com/.well-known/ai-commerce.json.

Step 5: Optimize Your First Product

• Go to any WooCommerce Product edit screen.

• Click the “Aigentic AI” tab in the Product Data box.

• Click “Generate with Gemini AI” to create your first high-density bot summary.

Troubleshooting

Issue: “Connection Failed” when saving the API Key

• Check: Ensure your Google Gemini API Key is active and has billing enabled (even for the free tier).

• Firewall: Some security plugins (like Wordfence or Cloudflare) may block the connection. Temporarily whitelist your own admin IP or check your browser console for “403 Forbidden” errors.

Issue: “AI Returned Empty Response” or “Server Error”

• Short Descriptions: The AI needs text to analyze. Ensure your product has a Short Description or Description filled out.

• Timeouts: If your server is slow, the request might time out. Try generating the summary again.

Issue: The AI Manifest (JSON) returns a 404 Error

• Fix: Go to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard and click “Save Changes” (without changing anything). This refreshes your site’s rewrite rules and enables the /.well-known/ai-commerce.json endpoint.

Issue: “Updating Failed” or “Invalid JSON”

• Fix: This is usually a caching issue. Clear your browser cache and any server-side caching (like LiteSpeed or WP Rocket) to ensure the latest JavaScript files are loaded.
