Description
Aigentic is a foundational plugin that transforms any WooCommerce store into an “Agent-Ready” platform. By integrating directly with Google Gemini, it generates specialized product summaries designed for AI Shopping Agents (like ChatGPT Search and Google SGE). It enriches the standard WooCommerce schema to ensure your products are accurately indexed and recommended by modern AI bots.
AI Feature Highlights
-
Automated AI Manifest: automatically hosts a standardized
/.well-known/ai-commerce.jsonfile, creating a real-time, machine-readable catalog specifically for AI Shopping Agents. -
Gemini-Powered Context: Integrates directly with Google Gemini (2.5 Flash) to generate “high-density” product summaries that are optimized for machine understanding rather than human reading.
-
High-Density Schema Injection: Extends standard WooCommerce JSON-LD with specialized “Merchant Listing” fields (Price, Brand, Availability, Return Policy) and AI-generated descriptions to ensure eligibility for Rich Results.
-
Smart Bot Detection & Analytics: Tracks and logs visits from major AI crawlers—including ChatGPT (GPTBot), Google-Extended, and Perplexity—giving you visibility into which agents are scanning your store.
-
Invisible “Context Blocks”: Injects hidden
ai-contextmeta tags into your storefront headers, allowing modern bots to read optimized data without altering the visual design of your product pages. -
Native Multi-Language Support: Generates AI summaries in your store’s native language (supporting English, Greek, Spanish, German, and more) to match your customer base.
-
Automated Discovery Rules: Automatically updates your virtual
robots.txtto explicitly allow AI agents to find and crawl yourai-commerce.jsonmanifest.
Requires WooCommerce 8.0+ to be installed and active.

Troubleshooting
Issue: “Connection Failed” when saving the API Key
-
Check: Ensure your Google Gemini API Key is active and has billing enabled (even for the free tier).
-
Firewall: Some security plugins (like Wordfence or Cloudflare) may block the connection. Temporarily whitelist your own admin IP or check your browser console for “403 Forbidden” errors.
Issue: “AI Returned Empty Response” or “Server Error”
-
Short Descriptions: The AI needs text to analyze. Ensure your product has a Short Description or Description filled out.
-
Timeouts: If your server is slow, the request might time out. Try generating the summary again.
Issue: The AI Manifest (JSON) returns a 404 Error
-
Fix: Go to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard and click “Save Changes” (without changing anything). This refreshes your site’s rewrite rules and enables the
/.well-known/ai-commerce.jsonendpoint.
Issue: “Updating Failed” or “Invalid JSON”
-
Fix: This is usually a caching issue. Clear your browser cache and any server-side caching (like LiteSpeed or WP Rocket) to ensure the latest JavaScript files are loaded.
